U&M believes that every single person is responsible for the company’s results and must be recognized accordingly to his or her responsibility and performance. Therefore, each person in the corporation is important and is recognized accordingly.

That thought is synthesized in the Human Development (HD) mission: to motivate people so that they feel satisfied and give their all to the company.

In order to do that, U&M has different policies which aim to motivate the individual and the team, such as:

•    Large benefits package, such as:
o    Salary adjustment according to service time: 5% after one year, 10% after two years, 15% after five years, and 20% after ten years.
o     PSP (Profit Sharing Plan) linked to AGP (Annual Goals Plan) above the average given by companies in this country..
•    Comfortable facilities and modern equipment. A good example is the fact that there is air conditioning in all equipment, accommodations, and in the cafeteria.
•    Intensive safety system to prevent diseases and occupational accidents.
•    Ethical behavior concerning social, racial, religious, political, gender and sexual orientation differences.
•    Transparent performance evaluation.
•    Transparency and openness to employees’ ideas and participation.
•    Equal chances for training in all hierarchical levels.
•    Recognition and celebration of achievements.
•    Job openings are first offered to employees.

The advantages cited above have been turned into practice by means of the Wired on You program, which has created a communication link between the HD and employees. The latter can call the HD hot-line professionals at any time to report any problem or give suggestions.  The employee does not need to identify himself/herself.
